Help! My room has been invaded by sock snowpeople

We began our expository writing unit by creating sock puppets and students went through the process of creating them and then wrote their  "How To" which gave the material and steps to create their own. They loved it!

Synonym Unit and Center

I created this synonym unit to accompany the Common Core. There are 12 units which increase in difficulty, and students work their way through the unit. I created four different activites to go along with the unit including an assessment piece. I copy the word cards on colored paper. The copy below shows what the word cards look like. My students enjoy it!
